Reuben Kathumba is a Zimbabwean pharmacist, author, and health literacy advocate committed to transforming healthcare education across Africa. He holds a degree in Pharmacy, an MBA majoring in Information Systems, and a Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Dermatology, combining clinical expertise with strategic leadership and innovation.
Reuben has served in the public sector at City Medical Stores under the City of Harare, contributing to medicine supply management and public health systems. He is currently practicing in retail pharmacy with the leading pharmacy group, Booties Pharmacy, where he continues to provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care.
He is the founder of the Health Literacy Africa Institute (HLAI), a platform dedicated to empowering women, parents, youth, and healthcare professionals through practical, culturally relevant health education. Through books, courses, and partnerships, he seeks to close critical health knowledge gaps in African communities.
